from elder generation told that wherever have palm tree, it's Cambodia's
Land.....
It's
a very useful tree, and symbol of Cambodia’s Tree. Palm tree has many
usages for people since the route to leaves and fruits. The roots are used in
Khmer ancient medicine to cure wound and dry for fire wood. A long Angkor Wat
visit, you will find Palm sugar juice; please do not forget to try it, very
sweet and good for health. And when you visit Banteay Srei Temple, your tour guide
will stop at Banteay Srei village to show you how local make palm suggar
by using Palm juice, some local product made from Palm Tree. Cambodian people
use green for eat and make a delicious soup, and it becomes yellow, are used
for kinds of cake....
Its
leaves are still used for roof and wall of cottages, hate while the trees are
used as furniture.
The
advantage of Palm tree is more that unable to count now.
